How to Turn a Live Poker Video into a Short on Your Phone
Raw table footage can capture the atmosphere without showing viewers the cards, actions, or pot clearly. PokerClipper lets you enter those details in dedicated fields and sync them to the footage—without building every overlay from scratch.

1. Record one hand vertically
Hold your phone vertically so the result is ready for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, or TikTok. Frame the table so you can still identify the board and important chip movements later.
Check the venue’s recording policy and get any permission you need. If faces should not appear in the post, change the camera angle or add a mosaic before exporting.

2. Choose the video and enter the hand
Sign in to PokerClipper with Google and choose the video from your device. The video is processed in your browser and is not stored on PokerClipper servers.
Work through Basic Information, Players, Board, and Actions. When a card is hard to read, use the inspection view to zoom and pan around the frame while entering the hand.
3. Sync the overlays
Match the hole cards, flop, turn, river, and each action to the moment they appear in the footage. The timer control saves the current playback position as that item’s start time.
Before export, choose the overlay design, accent, placement, and social safe area. Review custom text, audio, and mosaic settings as well.
4. Export and review the whole video
PokerClipper exports a 9:16 MP4 to your device. A 1080p source trimmed to under three minutes is the most practical starting point; 4K and long videos require more memory and processing time.
Play the exported file from beginning to end. Check for frozen frames, distorted audio, incorrect cards, late overlays, mosaic coverage, and the watermark before posting.
