How to Use PokerClipper: Browsers, Video Files, and Export

PokerClipper is a web app for syncing poker hand information with vertically recorded live poker footage. It does not crop horizontal streams into vertical videos or trim long recordings inside the app.

The basic workflow

Choose a video, enter the basic information, players, board, and actions, then sync the hole cards, board, and actions to the footage. Finish the design, text, audio, and mosaic settings before exporting.

A current walkthrough is available from the How-to Video card on the app’s first screen.

Browsers and devices

PokerClipper is tested primarily in Safari on iPhone and in Chromium-based browsers on desktop. Android devices vary widely, so beta users may still encounter browser-specific behavior.

Because processing happens in the browser, available memory, resolution, duration, and codec all affect performance. For 4K footage, use a computer or convert the source to 1080p first.

Input and output

The file picker accepts MP4, MOV, M4V, and WebM. A browser may still reject a file when its internal video or audio codec is unsupported, even if the extension is accepted. Confirm that the preview and video details load after selection.

Exports are 1080×1920, 30 fps, and 9:16. The hard input limits are 2 GB and 30 minutes, but trimming the source to under three minutes is recommended for a more reliable export.

Troubleshooting

If metadata will not load, convert the source to a 1080p MP4 in Photos or another trusted converter. If export fails, choose the source video again, close memory-heavy tabs, and retry.

When reporting a beta issue, include the device, OS, browser, duration, resolution, and whether the original file plays normally on that device.
